Kevin Costner has been involved in so many awful
movies over the last few years that it's sometimes hard to remember some of the
great ones. Dances With Wolves is surely
one of the best movies in history.
The story is simple, after the end of the Civil
War, Costner's character takes to a deserted Western outpost where he befriends
some Native
Americans. The story is touching and grand in scale, very entertaining.
What makes the movie for me is the knock-out
performance by Mary McDonnell. In fact, I'm still
annoyed that she didn't get an Oscar for her role. But...that's over now, I
guess I should learn to deal with it.
